WISDOM OF INFINITY

WISDOM OF INFINITY

Thoughts Myriad, Reasons innumerous,

In all of life’s unknown lessons.

Confusions, happiness, sorrows,

Depicting the magnitude of mind’s power,

What a sheer waste of the soul’s energy?!

Gushing waters from the river,

Along their adventurous journey seaward,

Mirroring the euphoric elation of the soul.

Like a lake epitomizing serenity and tranquility,

Symbolizing the peace of the heart.

Meaningless rigmarole emotions,

And unintelligible, irrational despondence,

Being part of the spirit too.

The same lake now, with multitudinous ripples,

Just a tiny disturbance, a finger’s single touch.

Nature’s realms of silence filling the cries,

Of quakes, floods, poverty and volcanic eruptions.

Similar to her nonchalance to gestures of ecstasy from the mortals.

Her whims and fancies are hers own,

With no one able to put either a salve over it or accolade it.

What then, is the use of the speck of human emotion or lesson?

Like the lost drop in the ocean,

Or the lost breath in the troposphere.

What a sheer waste of everything in the face of infinity?

Perhaps, the wisdom of infinity understands.

Hey.. Nice theme and very well captured! As you said, there is no ultimate state of rest for nature, its in constant fluidity. And yet it maintains a balance amidst the constant motion. Its the mind which is not developed enough to reflect nature…. to go through life’s motions maintaining an underlying detachment/peace. When we learn that , perhaps life will be a lot simpler!!

Beautiful poem, the best so far 🙂

Thanks Yuva for your very profound comments 🙂

Perhaps, our understanding of the mind, of nature, of the universe, of the cosmos is not even the tip of an iceberg and here we are ruminating about everything at one go.
Perhaps, the way to be is to be simpler and at peace at all costs.

And your poem perhaps could be the drop of a sub sub atomic speck of that wisdom of infinity 🙂 ..
again , i don’t know what has caused this sharp stroke of inspirational change from ur earlier romantic tryst..have u been reading that blog i told you about?
or maybe u simply have an alternate to loiter around ‘auguries of innocence’.. u can check my communicator status for that 🙂 .. superb poem!

      Thanks Ram 🙂

I enjoyed the “Augries of Innocence” after you asked me to read it. Such brilliance and yet to so much clarity.

Whenever you change your communicator status, just drop me a note 🙂 I could check out your pearls of wisdom more often 😉

No, I havent yet had time to check out the page you asked me to, though I spent about ten mins. I would have to do that when I am completely at peace and have clarity of thought, perhaps when I am far far away from these everyday routine dins. Will do it soon.
